Why we exist

Treasury desks in Hong Kong often run lean: a handful of people moving cash across HKD, USD, and RMB accounts while also covering FX, bank relationships, and month-end packs. When controls drift, it rarely shows up as a dramatic failure first — it shows up as dormant signatories, reconciliations that close with silent suspense balances, or payment releases that skip a second pair of eyes “just this once.”

Analyticsgateway was formed to give CFOs and group treasurers an independent reading of those controls without waiting for the external audit sample to stumble onto them.

Origin and place

We work from Millennium City 5, 418 Kwun Tong Road, Kwun Tong, close to many corporate finance floors in East Kowloon. Engagements are delivered on client premises when payment desks and cashiers need to be observed, with document review from our office when that is enough.

How we work

• Evidence before opinion. Findings cite mandates, extracts, and interviews — not generic control catalogues.
• Ranked risk, not volume. We would rather hand you twelve issues ordered by exposure than fifty undifferentiated observations.
• Board-readable language. Write-ups assume audit-committee members are sharp but not living inside bank portals.
• Clear boundaries. We do not sell banking software, run your cash desk, or replace your statutory auditor.

People

Engagements are led by practitioners who have held treasury, financial control, or internal-audit roles in Hong Kong corporates and regional holding companies. Fieldwork is staffed so that interviews with cashiers and controllers are not delegated to first-year generalists who have never released a payment.

Relationship with clients

Most work begins with a scoping call and a fixed-fee proposal. Some clients return annually before audit season; others call us when a banking restructure, shared-service move, or acquisition changes who can move cash. We stay independent of the banks you use and of any software vendors in your stack.
